2026 Spring Plant Sale Pre-Event Beautification!

Join Us in Beautifying Crabtree Farms for our annual Spring Plant Sale.

Are you passionate about gardening, community service, or simply love spending time outdoors? Crabtree Farms is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help us prepare for our Annual Spring Plant Sale, happening April 17-19.

Event Details:

  • Dates: April 13 -16
  • Shifts Times: 9:00 AM - 11:00AM or 9:00 AM - NOON
  • Location: Crabtree Farms, 1000 E 30th St, Chattanooga, TN
  • Parking: Free parking is available in the designated lot adjacent near the Evelyn Center. There is additional parking available near the pole barn. Exact directions will be provided closer to your arrival.

Volunteer Roles Can Include:

  • Weed-eating and detailed edging on walkways and in the plant sale area.
  • Farm Maintenance: Assist with weeding, mulching, and general beautification to ensure the farm looks its best.
  • Moving and leveling cinder blocks to provide stable foundations for plant displays.
  • Pounding in T-Posts to secure structures and signage.
  • Staking individual plants with identification and price, setting up plant signs.
  • Put away pots and other greenhouse tools, tidy up the potting shed and weed around the greenhouses.
  • Wagon repair
  • Cleaning farm stand area and tidying spaces
  • Hanging banners, signs, decorations


Volunteer Information:

  • Heavy Lifting: Some tasks may involve moderate heavy lifting (up to 30 lbs), such as moving plants, wheelbarrows, and mulch bags. Please indicate if you have any lifting restrictions when you sign up.
  • Attire: Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Closed-toe shoes are required for safety. A hat and sunglasses are recommended.
  • Tools: All necessary tools and equipment will be provided.
  • Essentials to Bring: Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and apply sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun

● PHOTO RELEASE
I hereby grant CRABTREE FARMS OF CHATTANOOGA, INC permission to use my likeness in
photograph(s) in any publications or publicity materials (including but not limited to books, newsletters,
videos, social media and website use), in perpetuity. I will make no monetary or other claim against
CRABTREE FARMS for the use of the photograph(s).

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I recognize that because CRABTREE FARMS’ operations involve fragile plants and the use of sharp
equipment and gardening tools, it is not appropriate to bring small children or animals to accompany me in
my volunteer work, for the safety of everyone involved. I also recognize that work around CRABTREE
FARMS can involve physical labor and strenuous activity. Accordingly, I willingly assume all of the risks
associated with these activities and agree and acknowledge that CRABTREE FARMS OF CHATTANOOGA,
INC and the City of Chattanooga shall have no liability to me for any injury, damage, or loss I may suffer by
carrying out these activities. On behalf of myself, my estate, my heirs and assigns, I hereby release
CRABTREE FARMS OF CHATTANOOGA, Inc. and the City of Chattanooga, and any employees, agents,
and officers, members, and other representatives thereof, from any and all costs, claims, losses, liabilities or
damage arising from or in any way related to my activities in working as a volunteer at CRABTREE FARMS.
I intend this release to be effective regardless of whether the claim of liability is asserted in negligence, strict
liability and tort, or any other theory of recovery. For myself, my estate, my heirs and assigns, I covenant and
agree to make no claim, nor to institute any suit, action or proceeding against Crabtree Farms of
Chattanooga, Inc. or the City of Chattanooga or any officers, directors, employees, or agents thereof, relating
to any accident, incident, or occurrence arising out of or in connection with my activities at CRABTREE
FARMS.
