We are looking for volunteers to help with harvest and farm maintenance during the busy upcoming season!
The shifts will be on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm. Wednesdays are dedicated to harvesting produce and preparing for the Main Street Farmer's Market.
Spring Projects include:
- MAIN PROJECT: Preparing the fields for Spring Planting
- Soil prep, composting, irrigation, and bed prep
- Planting and transplanting
- Weeding and mulching
- Plant care and pest management
- Spring harvesting
- Seed starting and germination
- Beautifying the farm and Community garden spaces
- Spring cleaning and organizing tools
Volunteers should bring a water bottle and wear closed toed shoes and long pants. Activity level is moderate to high. Some bending, squatting, lifting included in all tasks. Activities include, but are not limited to, field prep, planting, plant care, property maintenance, harvesting, weeding and general landscaping.
There are some options for folks with a little bit more limited mobility or may need some shady options (like washing and produce packing). We are happy to make accommodations with a little heads-up. Please reach out to ckey@crabtreefarms.org for more info.
